Durgapur : The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) successfully organised the half-yearly meeting of the Durgapur Official Language Implementation Committee (NARAKAS) along with a Rajbhasha Award Distribution Ceremony on July 31, 2026.
The programme was organised at the Yoga Centre of Nehru Stadium, located in Durgapur. The event focused on reviewing the progress of effective implementation of Hindi as the official language across the member institutions and organisations associated with the committee.
Review of Hindi Implementation
During the meeting, the participating member organisations reviewed the progress made in the effective implementation of Rajbhasha Hindi. Discussions focused on the efforts being undertaken by various institutions to increase the use of Hindi in official work and to ensure better compliance with the objectives of the Official Language policy.
The half-yearly review provided an opportunity to assess the achievements of the member institutions and discuss areas where further improvement could be made in the use and implementation of Rajbhasha Hindi.
