New Delhi | In a significant administrative development, the Railway Board has approved the central deputation of Shri Ishaan Sharma, an officer of the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India.
According to an official order issued on July 23, 2026, Shri Sharma, who is currently serving with the South Western Railway (SWR), will be posted to the Ministry of Home Affairs in New Delhi on a four-year deputation, effective from the date he assumes charge of his new assignment or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
