Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi Slams Modi Government Over Exam Paper Leaks, Calls It ‘Murder of Youths’ Dreams’

Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh: Congress Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Central Government, alleging that repeated exam paper leaks and irregularities in recruitment examinations have pushed millions of young aspirants into uncertainty. Speaking at a press conference in Bilaspur as part of the “Chhatron Ki Goonj” (Voice of Students) campaign, the Congress leader described paper leaks as the “murder of the dreams of India’s youth.”

Demands Resignation of Union Education Minister

During the media interaction, Pratapgarhi demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saying he should accept moral responsibility for the repeated examination controversies across the country.

The Congress MP claimed that over the past 10 years, India has witnessed 89 exam paper leak incidents, affecting more than 65 million (6.5 crore) candidates. He further alleged that the crisis has led to the suicides of more than 21 students, highlighting what he described as the devastating impact on aspiring candidates.

According to Pratapgarhi, students spend years preparing for competitive examinations, only to see their hard work and career prospects destroyed when question papers are leaked before the exams.

‘A Serious Blow to the Education System’

Pratapgarhi said the issue extends beyond examination malpractice and represents a serious attack on the confidence, aspirations, and future of young people.

This is not merely a case of examination irregularities. It is a serious blow to the dreams of students, their self-confidence, and the country’s education system. The Congress is raising this issue not for political gain, but as a fight for students’ rights and justice,Imran Pratapgarhi said.

‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ Campaign Launched Nationwide

The Rajya Sabha MP said the “Chhatron Ki Goonj” campaign has been launched under the guidance of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to highlight issues faced by students and job aspirants across the country.

According to him, the 40-day nationwide campaign will cover 28 major cities, where Congress leaders will interact with students, competitive exam candidates, coaching institute participants, and education stakeholders to understand their concerns and raise them at the national level.

Warning of Nationwide Protest

Pratapgarhi warned that if the Central Government fails to introduce effective legislation to prevent exam paper leaks, establish a transparent examination system, and ensure strict action against those responsible, the Congress Party will intensify its agitation and launch a nationwide protest movement.

The Congress has positioned the issue as a matter of educational integrity, transparency, and justice for millions of students, while continuing to demand stronger safeguards against examination fraud.
