New Delhi : The Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has formally approved the regularisation of an additional charge arrangement involving a senior railway engineering officer at , the state-owned railway infrastructure and construction company.
According to an official order issued by the Railway Board, , an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) currently serving as Executive Director/Chief Engineer (Bridges) at the Railway Board, had been entrusted with the additional charge of Director (Projects) at IRCON International Limited, New Delhi.
The Competent Authority has now formally regularised and approved the arrangement for the period from January 2, 2026 (Afternoon) to February 12, 2026.
Temporary Additional Charge Approved
During the specified period, Shri Sudhir Singh handled the responsibilities of Director (Projects) in addition to his existing duties at the Railway Board.
The Railway Ministry clarified that the approval applies exclusively to the temporary assignment during the stated duration and does not constitute a permanent appointment to the post.
Such additional charge arrangements are commonly used within government departments and public sector undertakings to maintain continuity in leadership and project management until a regular incumbent is appointed.
Role of Director (Projects) at IRCON
