Ministry of Coal appoints Sona Kumari as Non-Official Independent Director of Northern Coalfields Limited
New Delhi : The Ministry of Coal has appointed Smt. Sona Kumari (DIN: 11835630) as Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited.
Coal India Limited informed the stock exchanges about the appointment in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Tenure of Appointment
Sona Kumari’s appointment will be effective from the date of notification and will continue until the completion of her tenure as a Non-Official Director on the Board of Coal India Limited or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The appointment has been made through the Ministry of Coal Letter No. 21/21/2022-Estt dated September 17, 2026.
The company has submitted the appointment intimation to the BSE and NSE in compliance with the applicable SEBI regulations.
